Weekendtrip to Nitra in Slovakia by train. There is now a direct train from Vienna to Nitra leaving at 2 pm and back at 6 am. The return fare is about 19 Euro and you can buy it at any vending machine of Austrian Railways OEBB. The direct train need about 3,5 hours. There are more connectiions but then you have to change trains 1-2 times. Mostly in Bratislava. I stayed in Penzion Atrium in the center. Its about 1 km walk from the Railway Station. SIngle 1350 SK.
